Digital nomads can enjoy the peace and freedom of nature in the Shanghai Caojing Digital Nomad International Village opened on Saturday.
A village for digital nomads has opened in the Jinshan district, a suburb of Shanghai. Its full name is Shanghai Caojing Digital Nomad International Village. This place was created so that nomads could enjoy unity with nature, work in an inspiring, relaxed atmosphere, and get the most out of their lifestyle.
What is the project
The village was created by the founder and CEO of Vision and Village, Li Yanning. His company and the city of Caojing have teamed up to work on the digital village project. In addition to the commercial component, the project is part of the government’s strategy to revive rural areas in China.
The design of the village is focused on environmental sustainability. The latest technologies are safely and environmentally friendly woven into the natural landscape to emphasize the importance of preserving the environment.
As of August 31, more than 200 people have applied for the project who want to live in the village. People want to try to live this experience, since it is a job in the middle of tranquil nature, and not the bustle of the city. In addition, unlike isolated life somewhere on the islands, in the village for nomads you do not need to worry about providing your comfort, because the project has already taken care of it. Here, conditions have been created for comfortable settlement, food, fitness, entertainment, etc.
What is in the village
The entire area of the project is 3.66 square kilometers. In the village, the creators of the project created a unique space that combines nature and comfort. Firstly, the village of Shuyku, where the project is being implemented, is 40% covered by streams, there are more than 70 small islands here. The space of water is designed to reduce stress and bring peace to the free time of nomads.
But there is not only nature here, but also amenities. For example, every nomad can raft along the streams in a wooden boat at any time, listening to the smooth sound of water. Residents are also provided with bicycles, camping equipment, barbecue areas and other recreational opportunities. To create a community, they plan to conduct hiking tours and tours to study cultural monuments, as well as begin developing joint projects to develop the future of the village.
At the same time, this place is suitable not only for rest, but also for work. There are comfortable work areas right on the embankments, as well as by the lotus pond and in all the cafes. High-speed 5G internet is available throughout the village, supported by China Telecom.
